2020 Wellness Goals

Eat Healthier. This year set a goal to change bad eating habits to clean healthy choices. Try eating organic foods and a more plant-based diet. Replace processed and fast foods with healthier choices like salads and smoothie bowls made with organic fruits and veggies. If you are not ready to jump on the vegan train, try to only eat farm raised, hormone free meats. Stay away from processed mystery meats.

Exercise more. Exercise strengthens not only your heart and muscles but also improves your immune system and reduces stress. Taking part in regular exercising is important to preventing a range of diseases and health problems. Exercising improves your sleep and stamina. It is essential in preserving mental and physical health.

Read more books. Reading books stimulates you mentally and improves your memory, who doesn't have a bout of brain fog sometimes? When we read, we remember what was written and new brain pathways are formed. Reading everyday stimulates you mentally and can reduce stress. Don't we all need another positive stress reliving method?

Drink herbal teas. Want to give up sugary drinks such as sodas? Herbal teas can replace these drinks and have many health benefits and are used to aid digestion, improve sleep, reduce stress, improve immune system and more! We can't think of a better way to drink healthy!

Forgive and let go. It's been said holding on to resentment is like drinking poison and then waiting for the other person to die. Carrying anger from an offense can raise your blood pressure and release stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. On the other hand, forgiving can lower your blood pressure. Holding on to resentment only effects your health negatively. Clearly forging is the better course. Forgiveness allows you to heal.
